some sketches

Some sketches. I have stolen a bit of Patrick McEvoy's process for the shapeshifter. Check out his blog here : http://megaflowgraphics.blogspot.com/

". . .So Ruin was their cohort, and it was the name of a creature the height of three men. A loincloth of skin, perhaps human, covered his penis, though pumpkin-sized testicles dangled below the edge of this garment. His skin was reddish orange, and sprouted tufts of coarse black hair. Ruin's head, however, was bald. He carried a tree limb with a steel blade lashed crudely to one end, something of a scythe, which he swung before them, carving swathes in the ranks of any advancing enemy."

Kayden Alexander

Since it's international portrait month, I decided to draw a sketch of my son who just turned 1 year old. He sat on my lap with a pencil and slashed away at the paper while I drew his portrait. It was a neat collaboration, his first drawing and self portrait. He had so much fun that I'm certain we'll do this again in the near future.

art order submission

I found out about this black and white contest yesterday and since I've been reading a Pyle book, I felt compelled to create a drawing for the contest. The dimensions were a challenge to find a good composition.

I have decided to jump on the bandwagon and make a blog. Hopefully someone will enjoy looking. Here's some work I've done to introduce myself.
