when paintings go bad

This is a sketch I did some time ago in preparation for an oil painting. The painting has clocked over 20 hours and I just realized that the sketch looks better.

getting back into the swing

holidays are over, I didn't get as much done as I wanted, but had lots of fun and caught up with family I haven't seen in a while. Here are some new things to look at for now.
